The Seattle Prize Fellowship gives serious painters something almost nobody gets anymore: a full year to work on the most ambitious project of their lives, with everything else taken care of.
Fellows receive a salary-style stipend, a private studio on the third floor of the Occidental Fine Arts Center, all materials, mentorship from master artists, and a cohort of committed painters working alongside them. The target is world-class, museum-quality representational art rooted in beauty, craft, and meaning.
